Delft blue Apothecary jar A HYSOPI

Delft blue Apothecary Jar A HYSOPI a hand-painted pot / water jug in which the so-called water (Aqua) of the Hysopi plant was stored. This was used as a medicine against swelling around 1836. The pot can of course also be used as a vase. The object is in good condition and marked on the bottom. The apothecary jar was probably manufactured in the first half of the last century, it could also be older. There are no severe damages and a beautiful crazing of the glaze that adds to the vintage look. See our photos.
